Opportunities are a key element of successful product management. By capturing and organizing opportunities within Roadloom’s prioritization board, teams can systematically evaluate and act on potential initiatives that align with strategic goals.

This guide explains how to create and manage opportunities inside a prioritization board in Roadloom.

Step 1: Access Your Prioritization Board

  1. Log in to your Roadloom account.

  2. Navigate to the workspace where your prioritization board is located.

  3. Open the specific prioritization board where you want to create an opportunity.

Step 2: Add a New Opportunity

  1. Click on the "Add Opportunity" button at the top or within the desired column of the prioritization board.

  2. Fill out the required fields for the new opportunity, such as:

    • Title: Provide a clear and concise name for the opportunity (e.g., "Automated Customer Feedback Analysis").

    • Segment: Select your segment Enterprise or SMB.

  3. Click Create and that's it!

Update Scoring Weightage on the Opportunity Criteria

Updating the scoring weightage on opportunity criteria is an essential part of refining your evaluation process, ensuring that the most critical factors are prioritized appropriately.

  1. Open the opportunity evaluation dashboard and click Priority Score to modify the weightage.

  2. Adjust the percentage for each criterion in the popup.

  3. After setting the weightages, click Save to update the scoring system for future evaluations.

How to Change Opportunity Criteria

  1. Next to the current criteria, click the three dots (ellipses) and select Change.

  2. A popup will open where you can adjust the criteria. You can set between 2 and 5 criteria, choosing the most relevant factors for your business goals.

  3. After selecting your criteria, click Save to apply the changes. The new criteria will be used in all future evaluations.

By following this guide, you can ensure that every opportunity is clearly defined, effectively categorized, and aligned with your strategic objectives. A well-organized prioritization board not only enhances collaboration but also drives better decision-making, helping your team deliver meaningful results faster.
